Company History

Wilderness Reforestation was founded by Trevor Laing and Peter Moore in 1986 primarily to provide tree-planting services in the province of Ontario.  Wilderness grew organically and diversified over the next fifteen years, including the formation of Wilderness Helicopters in 1995 and Wilderness GIS in 1998.  In the summer of 2000, Wilderness Reforestation and Broland Enterprises (Grant Brodeur) negotiated a merger arrangement to create many synergies with the reforestation division and provide new opportunities for increased sales with the helicopters and GIS division.  The new amalgamation of companies is now referred to as The Wilderness Group.
