A Worldwide Well Known Floral Exhibition Takes Over Bloor-Yorkville

If you’re in Bloor-Yorkville, make sure you stop to smell – and snap – the photo-worthy roses. Now until August 9, over 25 luxury artful floral installations can be found throughout the restaurant and shop-filled neighbourhood.

Hosted by Fleurs de Villes, a globally renowned cultivator of bespoke floral installations, the immersive experience features eye-catching and artistic installations designed by some of Toronto’s best florists. The uplifting initiative is presented in partnership with the Bloor-Yorkville BIA.

The self-guided floral trail is full of visual appeal and subsequent social media ops, as it takes guests through Bloor-Yorkville, with stops in Yorkville Village, Manulife Centre, Yorkville Lane, and Hudson’s Bay Centre. The socially distanced indoor/outdoor path (don’t forget your mask) includes surprising floral activations, installations, pop-ups, and more – all colourfully mixed in with the Yorkville staple spots we know and love.

Highlights include things like an Instagram-worthy “Love is Love” floral heart by Fresh Floral Creations that sits just inside the Manulife Centre. The newly renovated building also features a stunning floral arch over its front entrance designed by the same company. Meanwhile, a beautiful flower display – that by no coincidence complements the colour scheme of an Aperol Spritz cocktail – adds another talking point to Eataly’s popular Il Patio di Eataly by Aperol.

Gourmet grocery shopping at Yorkville’s Pusateri’s this weekend will come with a side of eye candy, thanks to the two floral pillars by Fohla florals. For those seeking the most like-worthy photo ops, Yorkville Lane now features an inviting floral swing presented by The Kit and designed by Rosalie Villanueva, as well as a crowd-pleasing “Flower Bombed” Alfa Romeo car. You can also expect to see a handful of fashionable, flower-adorned mannequins throughout the trail – one of which is created by florist Joezel Yumul and inspired by Toronto drag queen Mango Sassi.

“Fleurs de Villes is a showcase for local, world-class floral design.

We bring local partners, communities and floral artists together to create something beautiful and extremely meaningful,” said Fleurs de Villes Co-Founder, Karen Marshall. “We’re delighted to bring our creations to Toronto this summer, at a time when we all need a touch of beauty and whimsy in our lives.”

Those wanting to take home their own blooms can visit the Flower Garden Market on Sunday, August 9, an initiative hosted by Fleurs de Villes in partnership with local florists, gardeners, and growers. A portion of the proceeds will support The Breast Cancer Society of Canada.
