Toronto Ice Cream Brand That Closed Last Year Is Making A Comeback

The news of a favourite restaurant, store or any F&B establishment closing is always a sad one. But sometimes, they grace us with their presence once more when you least expect it. As is the case when it comes to this one particular ice cream brand in The 6ix. The announcement of their closure last year was a disappointing one to many ice cream lovers all around. So naturally, it’s quite good to see that there’ll be a return this year.

Wong’s Ice Cream and Basil Box

Wong’s Ice Cream has officially partnered with the Asian restaurant chain, Basil Box, for a long-term agreement. Which means you will be able to enjoy your favourite flavours once more by simply heading to Basil Box anytime. Fans also won’t have to worry about significant changes to the flavour profile, because founder Ed Wong is totally involved in the ice cream-making process.

In case you haven’t tried Wong’s Ice Cream before, here’s the rundown. The Asian-themed dessert spot used to have an array of unique flavour combinations. This includes ones like Vietnamese Coffee, Wasabi Honey, Ube and many more. But Wong had decided to close up shop at the end of last year.
